Footballer Kylian Mbappe issues his former club PSG ‘with formal notice’ over £85m unpaid finances’

French football star Kylian Mbappe has formally notified Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) of an outstanding £85 million owed to him following his exit from the club.

The France national team captain transferred to Real Madrid on a free move after his contract with PSG expired at the end of the season.

Despite amicable terms of departure, the 25-year-old is still awaiting a portion of his bonus and salary as per his agreement with PSG.

Both Mbappe and PSG have publicly acknowledged an existing agreement that acknowledges the club’s significant investment in his career since his £166 million transfer from Monaco in 2017.

Negotiations over the final settlement amount are ongoing, with discussions reportedly making positive progress.
